As with many anglers today, Jonny’s love for angling came very early on, beginning with a simple float and catching anything which would take the bait, to then progressing onto the local river during the school holidays. The magazines were a huge influence in Jonny’s angling path, and soon he found himself aspiring to catch carp from the numerous local waters around him such as Bluebell Lakes and other open-access venues. Many years later, Jonny soon found himself on a very special water in search of some real gems of the midlands which soon lit the fire for big pit fishing.
Jonny is now a regular face on our social media and also the magazines, quickly accumulating some special captures over the years including a jaw-dropping common from a huge windswept pit, as well as notable captures around the Peterborough/ Cambs area.
Juggling a busy family life as well as being a builder, he loves nothing more than being able to get the rods out as much as possible and has been a solid part of the Sticky Baits team for many years.
