CAN YOU USE THE KRILL ACTIVE IN WINTER?
Yes – Everything about the Krill active is aimed at soluble attraction. This lends it perfectly to having high leakage, even in cold water. The only advice we would give is go in lightly to begin with, as it is easy to over bait in the winter.
CAN I REFREEZE KRILL ACTIVE?
Yes – Every bait in our freezer range can be refrozen without causing any detrimental effects, so long as it hasn’t deteriorated whilst on the bank. Krill Active can stick together slightly after being refroze several times, but this is to be expected from the extra moisture caused by a domestic freezer.
DO YOU DO KRILL ACTIVE IN SHELF LIFE?
No – Krill Active is only available in freezer bait form. This is due to the way it is made, using a lot of excess liquids and powders to form a soluble coating. Shelf-life baits contain less moisture than freezer baits to ensure they stay fresh, a shelf-life version of the Krill Active is therefore not viable.
CAN I PUT LIQUIDS ON KRILL ACTIVE? OR WILL IT DISSOLVE?
Yes – Liquids can be used with Krill Active with no problems at all. We do recommend using a light coating of liquid, rather than drowning them, as this will ensure the coating stays perfectly intact. Adding too much liquid can cause the coating to come loose.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FROZEN AND SHELF LIFE KRILL?
Other than where you store it, and a tweak in the ingredients, very little! Our shelf-life range only includes a small amount of preservative, to ensure it stays fresh without the need to use a freezer. The rest of the ingredients are very much the same, the only slight difference being shelf-life baits are a bit firmer than their freezer counterparts.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST WINTER BAIT?
The Manilla range has always been our best winter range if you want to stick to just one bait all winter. The complex milk proteins and sweet taste makes it an irresistible proposition to a cold-water carp.
IS MANILLA A GOOD ALL YEAR-ROUND BAIT?
Yes – The Manilla range can be used all the way through the year and is not limited to just cold-water use. If your chosen venue responds well to nutty, sweet baits then there’s no need to use anything else.
WHICH LIQUIDS ARE PVA FRIENDLY?
All of our liquids range are PVA friendly, apart from the range of dedicated Bait Sprays. Liquid Liver, and the range of Cloudy Liquids are only fully PVA friendly in small amounts for a short period of time. We recommend mixing these liquids in with your mix, rather than dipping or injecting them directly into your bags.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO USE
L-ZERO-30-T?
The best time to use L-Zero-30-T is in the late spring, summer and early autumn when the water is at its warmest. This extremely rich, thick liquid works best in warm water to allow it to fully release its attraction. As soon as the water drops into single figure temperatures, it would be best to change to something more soluble.
IS HEMP OIL GOOD IN THE COLD?
Yes – As far as oils go, Hemp Oil is the most suited to the cold of them all. It congeals at a much lower temperature than fish oils and therefore continues to work even in the coldest of temperatures.
IS LIQUID LIVER GOOD IN THE COLD?
Yes – Liquid Liver is among the most soluble liquids in our entire range, and as such it is perfectly suited to cold and warm water alike. You can add Liquid Liver to anything you like, it’s thin enough to soak into everything and give it a superb meaty kick.
CAN YOU USE PURE CALANUS ALL YEAR?
Yes – Pure Calanus is perfectly suited to year-round use! It is extremely soluble and has a low viscosity that helps it leak attraction in warm and cold water alike. If no one is using fishy baits on your water in the winter, adding Pure Calanus to your mix will help your bait stand out from the crowd.
CAN YOU FREEZE PURE CALANUS LIQUID?
There is no need to freeze Pure Calanus Liquid. All of our liquids come with a long shelf-life and should be stored in their bottles in a cool, dark place. If desired, Pure Calanus can be poured onto boilies, before being put into the freezer, this will cause no harm to the liquid and will help it penetrate to the core of your chosen baits.
HOW LONG DO YOUR LIQUIDS LAST?
All of our liquids come with an exceptionally long shelf-life of at least 12 months. It is recommended to store them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to ensure they stay in optimum condition. If your liquids have been sat on the shelf for a while, make sure you give them a good shake before use, to ensure the ingredients are mixed properly.

WHAT IS ACTIVE MIX?
Active Mix is a complex version of a groundbait, that works both on the bottom and up through the water column. It makes a great stick mix and can be used to stiffen up your spod mixes. The active particles within work their way to the surface, drawing the carp down to your baited spot.
WILL YOUR 12MM POP-UPS HOLD A SIZE 4 RONNIE RIG UP?
We recommend only using size 6 hooks maximum with our 12mm pop-ups. Our 14mm pop-ups are much more suited to size 4 hooks on the popular Ronnie rig. We recommend size 8 to 6 for 12mm hookbaits, size 6 to 4 for 14mm hookbaits and size 4 for 16mm hookbaits.
DO YOU MAKE MULBZ IN WAFTERS?
At the current time, Mulbz are only available in pop-up forms, but wafters may become part of the range in the future. In the meantime, to turn your baits into wafters, simply over glug them in matching bait spray, or add a counterbalance weight to your hair.
WHAT IS THE BEST HOOKBAIT FOR THE SPRING?
Bright hookbaits tend to score well throughout the spring, fished on their own or with a light scattering of freebies. Anything from our fluoro range will score well in the early part of the year, especially if boosted with the matching Bait Spray.
ARE THE HOOKBAIT SPRAYS PVA FRIENDLY?
No – Bait Sprays are not PVA friendly. They are designed to be as thin and soluble as possible, to allow them to penetrate your hookbaits for a slow leak off of flavour. The range of matching glugs make a much better alternative for use in or on PVA bags.
DO YOU SELL FROZEN BLOODWORM BOILIES?
Bloodworm boilies are only available in shelf-life versions. Our shelf-life range utilise a very low level of preservative that doesn’t negatively affect the baits. Every shelf-life boilie we make is as good as their frozen counterpart, you can use them with confidence.
HOW LONG DO BAITS LAST IN THE FREEZER?
We recommend using your bait within 12 months of purchase, as with anything fresh, frozen items still spoil with time and we want to ensure you get the best results possible with our products. If you are using bait that is close to 12 months old, we recommend rehydrating it in some liquid before use, just to ensure it is at its best.
HOW LONG DO YOUR PELLETS, FLOATERS AND ACTIVE MIXES LAST?
Due to the coating process and the high leakage and solubility this provides, our range of pellets and floaters should last a minimum of six months. As Active Mix is formed dry, and is activated by you, this can last up to 12 months. These products should be stored in their own bags, sealed tightly, and placed in a dark, cool, dry place when not in use to get the best life from them.
HOW LONG DO YOUR HOOKBAITS LAST?
Pots of hookbaits are amongst the most-hardy of products and easily last 12 to 18 months with virtually no ill effect. Beyond this period, and the older the baits become, the firmer they will be. To keep this to a minimum we recommend you keep the lids screwed on tightly and store them, in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
HOW LONG DOES YOUR BOILIE PASTE LAST?
They last well for up to 6 months without the need to do anything yourself. However, any longer than this, you may have to add some extra moisture yourself, as the paste will become dryer over time. Any of our liquid food range will do the trick and will only make your paste even better!
HOW LONG DO BASE MIX AND HOOKBAIT KITS LAST?
Our range of hookbait kits and bulk base mix, with matching liquids last for at least 12 months if stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Much longer periods can be achieved if you so wish, just ensure no moisture gets into the dry packets of base mix in both types of product.
CAN I ADD POWDERED DYES TO YOUR HOOKBAIT KITS TO MAKE, SAY PINK MANILLA HOOKBAITS?
Yes – You can add dyes up to the recommended amounts on the tub they come in. Please be aware though, our hookbait kits come with a hardened hookbait mix which will affect the finished bait colour, even with a dye present.
