Tom Maker shares the method to his madness as he lands over 50 within 48-hours!
As we’ve discussed before Tom Maker as a rule fishes with all three of his rods on the same spot which has adopted many names including “tramlining, fishing all three in the same postcode or all three on the dance floor”!
Either way he is putting the rigs within inches of each other in some cases then applies the bait over the top in areas that can measure as small as 5/6ft.

His reasoning behind this method is fairly straight forwarded as he explains below but there is one thing for sure it can be a devastating method with multiple hits consistently under his belt even in the depths of winter, he managed over 50 fish in just one 48-hour session!
Tom told us:
“For many years now I have been a massive fan of fishing three rods on a spot tight together, I fully understand this may not be a method that will work on every lake and will vary from angler to angler, but for me fishing high stock waters consistently and fishing for a big hits of carp, it’s the best way to get the most from the peg.
My focus is all on one spot, so I can easily monitor the feed that I’ve put in and if more needs to be introduced, then with three rigs positioned perfectly over the top I’m maximising my chances of bites when a shoal moves over.”
