Our Manilla range was formulated specifically for a gap in the market, for a range that worked all year round, wasn’t made using marine derived proteins and yet offered the carp with supreme nutrition. Manilla is still one of the only ranges of its kind, which shows in its clear effectiveness considering the sheer amount of catch reports we receive on a daily basis using this wonderful bait.

Starting from the ground up, the Manilla range started with the formulation of a boilie which would be just as at home in freezing conditions as it would scorching hot. In order to achieve this, we used as little fat as we possibly could to produce a soluble bait that doesn’t lock in its attractors in cold water. By using de-fatted peanut protein along with super high-grade milk proteins, we were able to get the nutritional profile of the bait spot on without upping the fat content. Then, on top of this super fine base mix we added a rounded, completely food grade Madagascan vanilla extract with several super soluble liquids kept close to our chests. The finished bait has a smell and taste good enough for you to eat yourself which is just a side benefit of using the Manilla range, as the carp seem to like it just as much too.

Fast forwarding to the past year, we introduced the Manilla Active to the range, which takes our initial concept even further. At the core of each Manilla Active boilie lies a standard Manilla boilie which has been super charged with a coating of extremely soluble liquids. Once soaked, the baits are coated in a blend of fine powders to create a soft, super soluble paste wrap. This paste wrap instantly reacts when submersed underwater and creates a halo of attraction around each individual bait. It was a very long-winded process to get right, as we wanted the finished baits to act and work quickly, even in cold water, but eventually we achieved what we set out to create – the ultimate year-round boilie.

The Manilla range has a wide choice of hookbaits in its armoury, with bottom baits, wafters and pop-ups all to choose from. Our aim as always is to never leave an angler wanting and as such there should be something for all scenarios in the range. Our new line of Active hookbaits complement the matching boilies perfectly, while the Manilla White and Yellow Ones offer a subtly contrasting hookbait to achieve a quick bite. Of course, we also have a range of boosted bottom baits, pop-ups and wafters, and even a shelf-life paste to complete the comprehensive hookbait range.

To help complement the boilies, we also offer a range of sizes of pellets, specifically manufactured to match the range as a whole. Each pellet goes through a two-stage coating process, which draws extra super soluble liquid attractors inside, whilst sticking a fine coating of ultra-attractive powders to the outside. The finished pellets create a milky cloud as they break down, which helps draw carp into your swim to investigate.

For lovers of carpet feed, and fine ingredients, Manilla Active mix is the perfect addition to your armoury. It’s made using active components, that lie dormant until activated by liquid, be that liquid you add, or the water you are fishing in. Once submersed, our Active mixes are designed to pulse of attraction upwards and along the lakebed, to help draw carp into your swim from further afield. Being a ramped up groundbait, Active mix can also be used to stiffen up spod mixes or with extra liquid, can be used as a sloppy spod mix over Zig rigs, a devastating tactic on high stock venues.

Speaking of extra liquids, the Manilla range, just like our other bait ranges comes complete with a set of diverse, complementary liquids for all situations. Starting at the thinner end of the spectrum, the Manilla Bait Spray is perfect for soaking in extra scent to your hookbaits quickly and easily. Next up we have the Manilla Glug, which is perfect for drizzling over pellets and stick mixes, as well as dipping or injecting it onto or into PVA bags. Finally, we have the biggest bottle of them all, Cloudy Manilla Liquid. This is a bulk liquid food, which is made for soaking your boilies, pellets or spod mix to increase its pulling power. As the name suggests it is an incredibly cloudy liquid, which create a milky haze, riddled with fine particles that carp find hard to resist. All our liquids are perfectly PVA friendly and work hand in hand with their family of products in a way that’s only limited by your imagination.
