Kingsmead Island lake on the RK Leisure complex, was the scene of a major result for Gavin Campbell recently when he banked an incredible fish known as the ‘Big Fully’.
Gavin explains:
‘I’ve been catching a few from a lovely swim, one that I like to spend the autumn in, and thought I’ll make a start in it a little earlier this year.
The Manilla range worked wonders for Gavin Campbell on this session at Kingsmead Island lake.

With it looking prime I decided to drop in for a night, this turned out to be the right move as I managed to get bites on all three rods. The first fish was a small common, which I released straight back, next up was a mirror of around the 30lbs mark. Again, with conditions looking prime I slipped it straight back.
Then, just before first light my remaining rod burst into life, so after I had a very large mirror in the net, and recognised it as a fish known as the ‘Big Fully’ although repeat capture, it’s an awesome looking carp and I was a little blown away when she spun the scales to past 40lbs.’
All three fish were caught using the Sticky Manilla range; including, 14mm Manilla Pop-Ups on Multi rigs, presented over Manilla Active soaked in Cloudy Manilla Liquid.
