Easter is a time of religion, if you are so way inclined, chocolate eggs and for carp anglers up and down the country; a four-day session thanks to the double bank holiday! The extra-long weekend is a popular time of year for many anglers as they get out on the bank for a relaxing and hopefully productive session.

Josh Bean took full advantage of the Bank Holiday and felt the euphoria of success this Easter, when he banked the much-sought-after Baby Baz from Tyram Hall at 48lb 14oz. Josh takes up the story: “With the bank holiday weather we had due, topped by a full moon it only seemed fitting to be down the lake for the long weekend. It started off well with a few twenties over the first couple of days but come 6am on Easter Sunday, I received the take I’ve been waiting for and after a battle I’ll never forget, Tyram Hall’s Baby Baz was sulking in the bottom of the net. She went 48lb 14oz, setting a new PB and topping off what has already been great start to the year. The big girl fell to a 14mm white Signature Pop-Up presented on a stiff hinge rig over a generous amount of 16mm Manilla dosed in matching Cloudy Liquid and Active Mix.”
