Uncaught Dinton Forty Tops Big Hit For Myles Gibson
30th September 2016
Consistent big-carp catcher Myles Gibson has been having a remarkable season on Dinton Pastures Black Swan Lake. Despite the lake’s challenging nature he’s absolutely dismantled it, in the way that we’ve become accustomed to Myles doing, landed over fifty fish in the process.
Most recently his efforts have been rewarded with some big and quite breathtakingly beautiful carp, which makes Dinton such a desired venue. Despite catching a couple of fish during his last trip, he still looked to move onto fish for his last night and it paid off in style.
After finding a clear strip at 130 yards, Myles cast a couple of rods to the area and used the boat to bait with a mixture of 12mm and 16mm Krill Boilies.
The action started almost instantly for him, and saw him slip the net under a stunning 35lb 6oz linear. That was then followed by mirrors of 19lb 8oz, 32lb, 25lb 8oz, 38lb 10oz and an incredible 40lb 4oz specimen; making it a truly hectic nights fishing! Amazingly, the biggest fish had never been caught before, with the last sighting being over 11 years ago when the fish was stocked into the lake at Dinton!
Myles fished his own fruity little pop-ups on the hair, special baits that have accounted for 80% of the fish that he has caught this season. We are working closely with Myles to develop a version of his hook baits that we can bring to you guys! Watch this space…
