Marcus Howarth lives and breathes fishing, but carp are his main passion. In recent years he has been recognised by many as being one of the best big-fish anglers around.

He quietly goes about his business and has strung together an incredible list of big-carp captures. This earned him the carp angler of the year award in 2014, for catching three fish over 45lb from three different waters, in less than 5 months.

Murray – 51lb 10oz

The Horse – 46lb 4oz
