Tez Taylor had to stay on his toes whilst fishing a north west boating lake, tactic which produced two of the lake’s best fish!
Did someone call the A-Team?
4th August 2016
Tom Loraine arrived at the 60-acre pit he’s currently targeting in the Lea Valley to find it a lot busier than expected, but he still managed to tick off one of the lake’s A-Team.
Tom explained: “I arrived for a 24hr session to find the pit was very busy, and even though it’s some 60 acres, I couldn’t help but feel a bit hemmed in.
With this in mind, I decided to fall back to my prebaited area. The night was quiet, but the following morning I received a bite from a very powerful fish, which unfortunately I lost. A short while later I received another bite, which turned out to be one of the A-Team, in the shape of the mighty Red Scale at a weight of 42lb 4oz. It was great to tick another one off my most-wanted list.”
Tom’s fish came from a firm silt spot at range, and he fished Hinge Stiff Links over a bed of whole and chopped Manilla that had been coated in Hemp Oil.
