A Belgium brute for Louis Therry
22nd August 2016
Some of our marketing team are over in Belgium at present visiting some of our stockists, so it was only going to be a matter of time before the stories of incredible looking giant carp were the main focus.
One carp that stood head and shoulders above the rest, was a 26kg (57lb) fish caught by one of our Belgium promo anglers, Louis Therry, earlier this year.
Louis explains: “I had a tough start to my spring campaign on a challenging pubic water in Belgium, as my plans for the lake really didn’t work out as I had hoped. I had a lot of trouble setting up my equipment at times, due to people just sitting in the areas I needed to be, with one even complaining to me as I tried to set up.
I needed a new plan, after some thought, I decided to bait an area of the lake heavily with The Krill to try and get the carp to stay in the swim I could get set up in. Let’s just say the result speaks for itself, it wasn’t long before I was cradling an incredible 26kg (57lb) fish, and was a new Belgium PB for me.”
