A North-West Wonder
23rd November 2018
Having fished a tricky club water in the North-West a while back, Rob Briers still had some unfinished business, so headed back to see if he could settle the score with a lovely, old mirror.
Rob Briers explains; I recently decided to target a club water I fished a while back, as there is a lovely, old, slate-grey mirror in there that had always swerved me in previous years. I’d done a few weekends during November, and was really enjoying my time on there.
On my latest trip, I finally got to meet the mega, old mirror that I’d been after for so long and what a creature it is, spinning the scales to 24lb 14oz…I was over the moon.
Tactics wise, I fished to a silty area, where I baited heavily with the catapult, using mixed sized Krill boilies, and presented a Krill bottom bait fish on a short, Tungskin hook link over the top.
