Tom Maker is one of the country’s finest prolific carp-catchers. He has been one of the rising stars of the sport for quite some time, and has finally come of age to be one of the household names in carp fishing.

He catches fish wherever he goes, and as a result, has been selected for the England carp-fishing team on a number of occasions.

He is a Linear Fisheries regular, and is used to fishing with the crowds, but remains consistent.

A. Bigger water the better for me personally, I’ve always struggled on small waters

A. I honestly don’t have any clue about all this moon phase stuff, I genuinely think people believe in it to make their captures seem more worthy! I go fishing whenever i can because I love going fishing, not just because the piece of cheese in the sky tells me to!

Q. As a younger angler who did you admire in the carp angling world and why?
A. I would have to say just my old man, he got me into carp fishing and showed me everything he knows
