BAZ LLOYD

YEAR BORN: 1986
OCCUPATION: Overhead Linesman

Baz Lloyd is the quiet one of the Lloyd brothers, who goes about his business and catches loads of big carp on limited time. His style of fishing lends itself to big carp, and that is where his passion lies.

Over the past few years, he has caught some huge fish from around Oxford, including mirrors of over 45lb from Linear and 49lb from Linch Hill.

Baz is a boilie angler, and has placed his faith in The Krill for the past few seasons. Interestingly, he was ones of the first anglers to use Manilla in its early stages of development, and caught his PB of 49lb 1oz while doing so.

41lb 10oz

Q. As a younger angler who did you admire in the carp angling world and why?
A. Terry Hearn. Terry was my inspiration because… i just loved everything about his angling, the lakes he fished, the carp he targeted, the way he told a story. I couldn’t put his first book down, he just adds a certain magic that makes you want to go fishing. If you haven’t seen his youtube video about his capture of Mary at a British record weight it is a MUST watch, it will blow you away, the guy is an absolute legend…!!!
